Services for Oliver Ray Clifton, 66, were July 14 at 10 a.m. at East Lawn Palms Mortuary Chapel, Tucson, Arizona. Officiating was Dr. Eoin Giller of Desert Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mr. Clifton died July 10, 1993, at Carondelet Health Care Center.
He was born January 22, 1927, near Marietta. After serving in the U.S. Armed Services, Mr. Clifton moved to Arizona in 1947. He retired from Cement Transporters, Inc. where he worked for 29 years and then went to work for First Interstate Bank at the home office in Phoenix, Arizona, for eight years. Mr. Clifton was a member of the Desert Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church in Tucson.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Iris Clifton of Tucson; a daughter, Vicki Lynn Clifton of Marietta and Carl Clifton of Colorado City, Texas; a sister, Audrey Newsome of Thackerville; and two grandchildren.
Interment was in the East Lawn Palms Cemetery, Tucson.
