Jack D. Clifford
May 13, 1920 ~ February 12, 2020

Jack D. Clifford, 99, was born May 13, 1920 in Wauneta, KS to Earl and Elsie Clifford. He died February 12, 2020 at his home. He married Della May Rabourn January 24, 1942 in Sedan, KS. They were married almost 70 years. Della May passed away October 13, 2011.

Jack was drafted into WWII February 26, 1942 and was sent to Camp Bowie, TX for basic training. He arrived at Camp Shelby, MS as a Sergeant with the 144th Engineers. In 1943, he was sent on training cadre to Camp Carson, CO. In July 1944, he was sent to the European Theatre of Action as 1st Sergeant. He was Honorably Discharged November 25, 1945 as Master Sergeant. He was employed by Sinclair Oil & Gas in Sedan, KS for 12 years and Sinclair-ARCO for 20 years, retiring in 1982. He obtained his GED at 52 years old in 1972 from Garber High School.

He is survived by his son and wife, Don and Judy Clifford, Bartlesville, OK., two daughters and husbands, Jane and Phillip Meier and D'Ana and Larry Dunn, all of Garber, OK. He has nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, sister, Patsy Miller and brother, Charles Clifford.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Della May, his daughter, Jan Clifford Allen, and grandson Jack Donald Clifford III., five sisters and two brothers.

Jack requested his body be donated to OU Willed Body Program. A private family service will be held at a later date. Jack's family would especially like to thank his beloved sitters: Kandi, Cherlyn, Beverly, Frances, Laken, Debby, Sharon, Hospice Circle of Love, and Integris Home Health.

Memorials in his name may be made to Hospice Circle of Love, Enid, OK. with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
