Joe A. Clayton, III

July 12, 1934 ~ September 13, 2017

Joe A. Clayton, III, was born in Artesia, New Mexico, in 1934, and passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.

Joe graduated from Oklahoma A&M. He retired from the U.S. Department of Forestry and from the State of Tennessee as assistant state forester. After retiring, he developed the Country Cove Christmas Tree Farm in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Joe is survived by his wife Portia; daughter Danielle Clayton of the home; son Patrick Clayton; daughter Tracey Clayton; stepsons Russell Ross, and Jeff Jackson; aunt Tommie Burnett; niece Debbie Hardesty (Jay); several grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
