Ralph I. Clark

November 22, 1910 ~ February 15, 2000

RALPH I. CLARK - Services for Ralph I. Clark, 89, will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Emmanuel Methodist Church, Abilene, Kansas, with Rev. Mike Eurit officiating.

Mr. Clark was born November 22, 1910, near Idana, Kansas, the son of Ira and Ellen Rea Clark, and died February 15, 2000 in Salina, Kansas.

Mr. Clark was raised in the Oakhill area, graduating from Longford High School in 1929. He attended barber college in Wichita and was a barber for a short time in Longford, Kansas. Mr. Clark and Mary Taylor were married near Idana on December 7, 1935. All of their married life was spent farming south of Manchester, Kansas until retiring in 1989 and moving to Abilene. He was a member of the Emmanuel Methodist Church, the Longford Saddle Club, NCHA, and a volunteer in many community services and organizations.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Clark of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and David Nichols of Marietta; a son and daughter-in-law, Stan and LeAnn Clark of Hesston, Kansas; a brother, Allen Clark of Clinton, Missouri; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two nieces; and two nephews.

Mr. Clark was preceded in death by an infant daughter; a brother and sister; and one half-brother and sister.

Interment will be in the Prairiedale Cemetery, north of Talmage, Kansas, under the direction of the Danner Funeral Home, Abilene.
