Kathleen (Shawver) Clark

Kathleen (Shawver) Clark
December 18, 1949 ~ December 19, 2025

Kathleen (Shawver) Clark, a beacon of love and gentleness, departed from this world on December 19, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and care. Born on December 18, 1949, in the vibrant city of Mesa, Arizona, Kathleen's journey through life was one marked by devotion, both to her family and to the joy of others. Her final moments were spent in Durant, Oklahoma, surrounded by the love of her family as she passed peacefully.

Kathleen's life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family bonds. She and her beloved husband, Charlie Clark, celebrated an incredible 60 years of marriage on October 22, 2025, a milestone that reflects their unwavering commitment to each other. Their love story was one for the ages, and it served as the foundation upon which they built a beautiful family. Kathleen's role as a mother was exemplified through her daughter Lisa Anne Guyer, before her passing in 2014 and son, Randy Guyer, and his wife Michelle of Durant, Oklahoma. Her love multiplied with the joy of being a grandmother to KC Guyer, Brooklynn Skipworth and her husband Loren, Brendan Mattingly and his wife Jada, and Bryan Gorman.

The arrival of her great-grandchildren, Britlee Smith, Paislee Skipworth, Bentlee Skipworth, and Autumn Mattingly, brought a new depth to Kathleen's capacity for care, as she cherished every moment spent with these precious new lives. Her sisters, Joyce Tesreau of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Jacqueline Hahn of Chandler, Arizona, along with numerous nieces and nephews, also held a special place in her heart, each one a thread in the rich tapestry of her life.

Kathleen's professional journey was marked by a selfless decision to retire from the toy factory in 1992. She chose to dedicate her time and energy to being a full-time caretaker for her grandson, KC. This role was not just a duty but a calling, as she poured her loving, thoughtful, and gentle spirit into nurturing and guiding the young minds in her care.

Her interests were as diverse as they were heartfelt. Kathleen found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from the laughter of her grandchildren. She lived with the belief that every action, no matter how small, could make a significant impact on the world around her.

Kathleen's story is not one of an end but a continuation. Her spirit, characterized by kindness and compassion, will live on through the lives of those she touched. As a motivational speaker might say, "The light of a person's spirit is never extinguished; it simply passes the torch to the next generation to carry on the journey." Kathleen's light will shine brightly for generations to come, guiding and inspiring her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

With Kathleen's passing, we are reminded of the beauty of a life well-lived and the enduring power of love. She was truly one of a kind, and her memory will be cherished forever. Let us honor Kathleen's legacy by living each day with the same loving intention she showed us, embracing the gentleness of her spirit and the thoughtfulness of her heart.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jesse West officiating.

Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home. www.holmescoffeymurray.com
