Tressie E. (Seiger) Childers
November 25, 1924 ~ May 6, 2022

Tressie E. (Seiger) Childers, age 97 of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away May 6, 2022. She was born November 25, 1924 in Fairview, Oklahoma to the late Herman Fred and Nancy Henrietta (Wion) Seiger. She grew up in Orion, Oklahoma, her parents were farmers, so she grew up picking cotton on the family farm. As a young woman she moved to Fairview, Oklahoma where she met and married James Irvin Childers. She worked in various nursing homes and hotel hospitality positions and she loved to sew and crochet. Her family will always remember her noodles as her very special dish she loved to cook her family. She was a dedicated mother and a hard worker, working and driving all the way up to 80 years of age. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Herman and Nancy; husband ; son Bobby Ray Wilcox; son Troy Wilcox; daughter Thresia Gammon and son-in-law Charles Brinson.

She is survived by daughter Eunice and husband George Pruitt of Grand Prairie, Texas, daughter Billie Brinson of Ringwood, Oklahoma, son James A. and wife Kathy Wilcox of Leander, Texas and son Doug and wife Terri Childers of Ferris, Texas; she also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.A memorial service will be Saturday, June 25th at 3:00pm at Orion Baptist Church, 9426 US-60, Fairview, OK.
