Stella Diane (Hampton) Chidester
October 10, 1950 ~ April 13, 2026

Stella Diane Chidester, born on October 10, 1950, in Atoka, Oklahoma, passed away on April 13, 2026, in Pryor, Oklahoma. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished the simple joys of life. Stella had a passion for crocheting and sewing, hobbies through which she expressed her creativity and care. She found great pleasure in playing bingo and enjoyed the warmth of family gatherings. Fishing trips with her husband were among her fondest memories, and she delighted in cooking for her loved ones.

She is survived by her son, Carrol Chidester and Tammy Wilson of Pryor, Oklahoma; her sisters, Opal Sanderson of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Rhonda Pickney of Durant, Oklahoma; as well as three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who will carry forward her legacy.

Stella was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Opal (White) Hampton; her husband, Bobby Chidester; her son, Robert Chidester and daughter-in-law, Louetta Chidester; and her siblings, brothers T.R. Mead and William Hampton, and sisters Mary Puckett and Judy Simms.

Her life was marked by dedication to her family and a love of simple pleasures that brought joy to those around her. Stella Diane Chidester will be remembered with affection and respect by all who knew her.
