Celia Beneva (Ward) Chatham

Celia Beneva Chatham, 83, of Blanchard, died Monday, March 10, 2014 in

Oklahoma City. The daughter of Houston Austin and Lillie Bell (Henson) Ward, she was born October 21, 1930 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Celia had a deep abiding faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Elk City. In her spare time she enjoyed garage sales, playing yahtzee and was a great cook. Celia was blessed to raise seven children and her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald Chatham; her son, Danny Chatham; her granddaughter, Carissa Beneva Touchstone; her grandson, Benjamin Gerald Chatham; her brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Dolly Ward; and two daughters-in-law, Lynn Chatham and Cheri Chatham.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Touchstone and her husband, Johnny, of Elk City; her five sons, Richard Chatham and his wife, Shirley, of Blanchard, Ken Chatham and his wife, Annette, of Templeton, California, Paul Chatham and his wife, Lynn, of Cameron Park, California, Brian Chatham and his wife, Kim, of Blanchard and Ray Chatham of Elk City; her twenty-one grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 13, 2014, at the First Assembly of God Church in Elk City. Interment will be in Pine Mountain Cemetery in Atascadero, California.
