Nancy Lee (Wilcox) Chapman
April 11, 1946 ~ August 22, 2020

Nancy Lee Chapman, 74, of Dewey, died Saturday in Tulsa.

Nancy was born April 11, 1946, in Meadville, PA, to Elmer and Thelma Wilcox. She graduated from Northwestern High School in Albion, PA, in 1964. She married the love of her life, Garry Chapman, on Oct. 23, 1967. The couple had four children, Kandy, Garry Jr., Carolyn and David, but Nancy has also touched the lives of so many other children.

The couple moved from Pennsylvania to Oklahoma in 1981. They are members of Eastern Heights Baptist Church. Throughout the years, Nancy had worked at Dingle Daisy Diner, Western Sizzlin’ and at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Bartlesville and lastly Eastern Heights Baptist Church in the nursery. She loved Conway Twitty, working crossword puzzles, doing crafts, baking, working jigsaw puzzles, sewing and going to garage sales. Most of all, she loved children and serving others.

Nancy is survived by her husband Garry; three children, Kandy and husband, Bruce, Garry Chapman Jr., Carolyn and husband, Dave; a brother, Gary Wilcox of Ohio; a sister, Beverly Ennis of Florida; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by both parents; a son, David; and a brother, David.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the nursery at Eastern Heights Baptist Church, 1331 Swan Dr., Bartlesville, OK 74006.

Nancy’s family will receive friends at the Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel, 918-534-3030, 113 S. Osage (Hwy. 75), Dewey, on Wednesday, from 6-8 p.m.

Services will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday, at the Eastern Heights Baptist Church. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel. Online condolences and remembrances may be shared at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com.
