Sherry Jo (Dennett) Chaney
February 11, 1947 ~ August 5, 2021

Sherry Jo Chaney, age 74, of Tonkawa, Oklahoma passed away August 5, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Tonkawa, 505 Thunderbird Rd, Tonkawa, OK 74653.

Sherry was born on February 11, 1947 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Louis and Dora Mae (Ruggs) Dennett. Sherry graduated from Durango High School in Colorado after completing most of her education at Blackwell Public Schools. She completed two Associates degrees at Northern Oklahoma College, one in nursing and another in business. In 1974, she married Jesse Chaney and together the couple had 3 children. Sherry worked as a warehouse selector at Albertson's before retirement. Sherry proudly served her country in the U.S. Army in 1966 to 1967 and again in 1973 to 1974.

Survivors include: her husband, Jesse Chaney of Tonkawa, OK; daughters, Catherine Keiran and husband Andy of Leitchfield, Ky. Michelle (Shelly) Martin and husband Mark of Tonkawa, OK; son, Steven Chaney and wife Shawna of Covington, La., 4 Grand Children and 9 Great Grand Children.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Louis and Dora Mae Dennett. her sister, Terry Kinterknecht Owens, and her Great Grand Daughter, Nayeli Pando.
