Jesse Joseph Carr, Jr. 59-year-old Vinita resident, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024, at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was born on April 6, 1965, in Skiatook to Jesse Joseph “Jack” Carr, Sr. and Wanda Lucille (George) Carr.
Jesse “Jackie” was a kind and loving man, he will be dearly missed. While his family is heartbroken over his departure, they are glad he is no longer suffering. He was raised in Vinita, where he remained most of his life. Jackie married Peggy (Tanner) on June 14th, 1996, she preceded him in death in 2023, after 27 years of marriage. They resided in Vinita and raised two daughters Wanda and Natasha “Tasha” and two sons, Chad and Jeremy. Jackie followed in his fathers footsteps as a laborer, although Jackie preferred self-employment, and was an entrepreneur to a certain extent. Jackie and Peggy became full time caregivers for Hunter as a baby. Jackie was devoted 24/7 to being the best caregiver he could be for Hunter. Jackie’s family was his favorite thing in the world, especially his grandchildren. Hunter was his best buddy in the world; he loved all his grandchildren, but those two had a special unbreakable bond. He would of have done anything in the world for his grandkids, especially if it made them laugh or smile. Jackie loved to joke around and give the kids funny nicknames. His hobbies included traveling with his family, spending time with friends and family, watching drag racing and WWE. He spent much of his time tinkering with various projects around the house, when he was not caring for Hunter.
Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, Peggy Carr, several siblings, and a grandson, Houston.
His memory lives on with his daughters, Wanda Carr and fiancée Brian French, Natasha “Tasha” Williams, Misty Clark, sons, Chad Tanner and Jeremy Tanner and wife Kari, grandchildren, JJ, Hunter, Brooklyn, Clayton, Wyatt, Isaac, Soni, Skip, Dayten, Kira, and Aumi, and two siblings.
