David Alan Campbell was born on August 4, 1955, to Donald and Imogene Campbell in Atlantic, Iowa. He departed this life on April 7, 2026, in Bristow, Oklahoma, at the age of 70.
David and Debra were united in marriage on October 26, 1985. Together, they built a life and raised their four children in the Rockies of Colorado. A man of tremendous work ethic, David worked diligently as an interior trim carpenter, faithfully providing for his family. While he believed in the importance of hard work, he always placed his family first. Beyond providing, he was devoted to passing down life lessons and values that will continue through generations.
David had a deep love for the outdoors and found great joy in experiencing nature firsthand. Though he had many passions, none compared to the love he had for his family, with whom he shared so many of life’s adventures. He especially enjoyed mining for gold, camping, and boating on the lakes. Long days riding ATVs or a well-planned hunting trip were among the many activities he cherished. David was a constant supporter of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, attending their many activities. Though he may have occasionally complained, he treasured that time with them and would not have missed it for the world.
David is survived by his loving wife, Debra; his four children: Troy and his wife Catherine, Trude and her husband Tim, Trent and his wife Crystal, and Melissa and her husband Jeremiah; fifteen grandchildren: Nate, Zack and his wife Jenny, DeEtta, Olivia and her husband Carlos, Jacob and his wife Araceli, Connor, Erika, Austin, Rebecca and her fiancé Arath, Shaylee and her husband Bryan, Emily, Andrew, Hannah, Isabelle, and Kenzie; six great-grandchildren: Colton, Rylee, Jayden, Estella, Urijah, and S.J.; and his beloved dog, Bradley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Imogene, and his two brothers, Ronnie and Danny.
The family is planning a celebration of life to be held in Colorado at a later date.
