Paula Kay (Woolsey) Callison

Paula Kay (Woolsey) Callison
May 2, 1969 ~ January 14, 2026

Paula Kay Callison, age 56, passed from this life on January 14, 2026, in Cleveland, Oklahoma.

Paula was born on May 2, 1969, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to William “Bill” Woolsey and Dixie Jean (Rose) Cole. She attended Berryhill schools as a young girl before moving to Cleveland, Oklahoma, during middle school, where she later graduated with the Class of 1987.

Following high school, Paula worked as a pharmacy technician at Walmart. On July 1, 1988, she was united in marriage to Jake Kiliona Callison in Cleveland, Oklahoma. The couple lived briefly in Vacaville, California, before returning to Cleveland, where they made their home and raised their family.

Paula began her banking career at Cleveland Bank, serving first as a teller and later as a personal banker. She retired from American Heritage in 2022 to fully embrace the role she loved most—being a full-time Nana.

Paula found her greatest joy in spending time with her husband and grandchildren. She loved flower shopping with her mom and daughter Kacey, planting flowers, and creating beautiful arrangements. She cherished trips to Tulsa with Kacey, especially their visits to Raising Cane’s.

Paula had a deep love for the ocean, beaches, and palm trees, and enjoyed searching for sand dollars and seashells along the shore. She treasured her visits to see Jake while he lived in San Diego and later Sacramento. She was an avid OU football fan, faithfully watching games on Saturdays, and enjoyed home makeover shows. Paula was a devoted supporter of her children and their endeavors, including proudly watching her son play basketball.

Survivors are her husband, Jake, Sr. of the home, two children, Jake Callison, Jr. of Sacramento, California, Kacey Callison of Cleveland, Oklahoma, mother Dixie Cole of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; sister Julie Rimel of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Kai, Koa, and Kalea, and a host of other relatives and friends. Paula was preceded in death by her father, Bill Woolsey; maternal grandparents, Hoyt and Elowee Rose; and paternal grandparents, Buck and Ethel Woolsey and step father, Joe Cole, Sr.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the Western Heights Baptist Church with Pastor David Head officiating. Family will receive friends and family from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Friends and family may visit an online guest book and memorial page for Paula at www.chapman-black.com.
