Valden Dewayne “Val” Bryant

Memorial Service for Valden “Val” Dewayne Bryant, 62, of Chester, will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Cedar Springs Nazarene Church. Cremation arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Valden D. Bryant was born May 3, 1959 in Harrison, Arkansas to Paul Dewayne and Yvonne Norlene (Hamilton) Bryant and passed away on December 23, 2021 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Val was raised in Arkansas and southern Texas before moving to Fairview, OK. He married Theresa Marie Lollman on December 5, 1981 and they enjoyed 40 years together and were blessed with one daughter, Audrey.

Val retired in 2019 after working for 37 years at Major County District 2. Val had a deep passion and love for community service. He was instrumental in the establishment of the Orion Rural Fire Department, where he served as the Fire Chief for over 20 years. He also served as the Region 7 Director for the Volunteer Firefighters Association of Oklahoma.

Over the years he enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and beloved pets. He also enjoyed watching beautiful sunrises and sunsets, playing chess and dominoes, and watching OSU sports and Dallas Cowboys football.

Val is survived by his wife, Theresa; his daughter and son-in-law, Audrey and Ty McCune; grandchildren, Kelsey and Isaac Gray, Jaden McCune and Maverick McCune; his brothers, Kevin Bryant and his wife Melynda, and Brendan Bryant; his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law and their spouses, Eugene and Kena Lollman, Mike and Cheri Lollman, John Lollman, Denise and Jim Henthorn; as well as, multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Val was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions may be made. to the Orion Fire Department or OMRF with Fairview Funeral Home, Inc acting as custodian.
