Wanda Kay (Rippetoe) Bruns

May 2, 1949 ~ Sep 30, 2014

Wanda Kay Bruns was born May 2, 1949 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Frankie and Bill Lee Rippetoe. She passed away September 30, 2014 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 65 years, 4 months and 28 days.

Wanda moved with her family to Hobbs, New Mexico. She graduated from high school in Hobbs and then went on to Business School.

She was married to Richard Bruns and they stayed in Hobbs until 1987 when they moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma where she was employed as the Executive Administrator at the Weatherford Opportunity Workshop. She later moved back to Sayre to care for her parents. She and Bruno remained in Sayre to make their home. Wanda loved caring for others and no sacrifice was too great in ensuring that they were well cared for.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Warlo Rippetoe.

She is survived by her husband, Bruno, of the home; a son, Dustin Bruns, Sayre, OK; a grandson, Warlo Xander Bruns, Norman, OK; her brothers, Frank Rippetoe, Estancia, NM, Ray Rippetoe, Melissa, TX and Billy Rippetoe, Dallas, TX and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Gateway Church in Elk City.
