Linda Susan (Ueckert) Bruner
June 16, 1949 ~ June 19, 2012

The funeral service for Linda Susan Bruner, age 63, will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Joseph Irwin officiating. A memorial mass will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 23, 2012 at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Great Bend, Kansas. Burial of the cremated remains will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan, Kansas. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Linda was born to Paul and Jennie (Reiser) Ueckert on June 16, 1949, in Great Bend, Kansas, and passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at her home in Enid.

She was raised in Great Bend, graduated from High School, and then attended Fort Hays State University. Linda spent several years in Houston and Midland, Texas, before moving to Enid in 1997. She was an avid golfer and a member of Oakwood Women's Golf Association, where she held several offices. Linda was a volunteer at Enid Literacy Council, a member of Weed & Seed Gardening Club and P.E.O. She was a realtor with Nicholas Realty for ten years. On April 21, 2007, Linda married Donald L. Bruner. She holds a family record for fishing, catching an eight pound large-mouth bass at a private lake in Sun City, Kansas. Her passions were cooking, traveling, and gardening. Linda was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She was a loving wife and mother.

Linda is survived by husband Donald; son Chris Myers and wife Alexa of New York City, NY; stepchildren Melissa Bruner of Stillwater, and Scott Bruner and wife Melanie of Owasso; mother Jennie Ueckert of Great Bend, Kansas; two sisters, Karen Hammons of Great Bend and Diana Stumps of Derby, Kansas; four step-grandchildren; three nephews, one niece; one grand-niece; and two grand-nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her father Paul Ueckert and brother Allen Ueckert.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love or St. Joseph's Catholic School
