Deloris Ann Browning, resident of Drumright, went to rejoice with the Lord on February 27, 2025 at the age of 82 years & 5 months.
Deloris was born on September 27, 1942 in Crossroads, California to the late Noble Leslie & Nettie May Holderfield, in addition to her siblings Bobby Gene, Harold Dean, Edra Lou, Michael Leslie and Trena Gale.
She was blessed by her siblings with many nieces and nephews, to which she became affectionately known as “Aunt Lolo”.
Not long after graduating high school, she met and later married Arley Claeburn Browning. To this union they shared 3 children – Leslie Shawn, Kristina Lynn and Arley “Shane” Browning and was blessed with several grandchildren and great grandchildren of whom she loved dearly.
She devoted much of her time and energy working at Howard Johnson’s in Stroud, Oklahoma, before dedicating 30 years to Drumright Nursing Home, until her retirement. In 2011 she relocated to Chandler, Oklahoma with her daughter Kristina.
She was so much more than an aunt, grandmother and great grandmother to her nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Throughout the years she became known as more of a second mother to many of them. She was definitely one to let you know, if she hadn’t already done it herself, that you were in need of a good smacking; always out of love though. I’m sure she’s hoping this makes you laugh. Regardless of the circumstances she always had your back.
Throughout the years, she lost many and much, while still doing and giving what she could for those she loved most, even if it was just her motherly touch.
She was one of a kind that would want you to smile when her memory comes to mind.
She will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by those she leaves behind.
