Vernitta V. (Berry) Brown

Jan. 2, 1912 ~ Oct. 4, 2005

Wichita, KS. -- Funeral services for Vernitta V. Brown, 93, of Wichita, KS. will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Indian Hills Church of the Nazarene in Wichita. She died Oct. 4, 2005 in Wichita.

She was born Jan. 2, 1912, near Lambert, OK. to Burness and Alice Berry. She attended rural schools and graduated from Lambert High School in 1931. She married Farris Z. Brown Oct. 11, 1931, at the Yewed Methodist Church, and they moved to Wichita the same year.

She is survived by a son, Eddie Brown of Wichita, KS.; three brothers, Byrl of California, Bruce of Colorado and Ronnie of Arizona; a sister, Ann of Broken Bow, OK.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, four brothers, five sisters and three infant children.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Kansas, 750 North Socora Street, Wichita, KS. 67212 or Indian Hills Church of the Nazarene, 1555 North McLean Street, Wichita, KS. 67203.
