Ura Lee (Petrov) Brown

January 9, 1940 ~ October 7, 2012

Ura Lee Petrov Brown, Carney, Oklahoma resident was born on January 9, 1940, in Pocasset, Oklahoma and departed this life on October 7, 2012, at her home in Carney, at the age of 72 years.

Ura was the daughter of Andrew and Elsie Freed Petrov.

She married Alvin Brown on September 1, 1956, at Oklahoma City.

Ura worked as a beautician for over 40 years.

She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Her parents preceded Ura in death.

Survivors include her husband, Alvin of the home, two daughters, Becky Simon and Nancy Knight, both of Carney, Oklahoma, one brother, Ken Petrov of Carney, Oklahoma and one sister, Sylvian Styles of Louisiana, six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012, at First Baptist Church, Tryon, Oklahoma.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
