Ronald "Winston" Brown

Mr. Ronald "Winston" Brown, 79, of Bartlesville, died at 2:15 A.M. on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center.

Services for Mr. Brown will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Cox officiating . Memorial services and cremation are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mr. Brown was born at Purdy, Missouri on September 21, 1934 the son of Leo and Ardith Aline (Henderson) Brown. He grew up and received his education at Purdy, Missouri and then graduated from high school at Whitewater, Kansas. He was married to Rowena Mae Black at Valley Center, Kansas in 1955. They made their home in the Valley Center area until Mr. Brown entered the U.S. Army in 1956 in which he served for two years. Following his Honorable Discharge they made their home in Augusta, Kansas for 15 years until moving to Bartlesville in 1975. Mr. Brown has been self employed as the owner of Satellite Refuse System and Mrs. Brown is employed at First Baptist Church. Mr. Brown was a member of the First Baptist Church, and he enjoyed crappie fishing and following St. Louis Cardinals baseball.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife Mrs. Rowena Brown of Bartlesville, two sons, Mark Anthony Brown and wife Nancy and Doug Scott Brown and wife Shawna, all of Bartlesville, two brothers, Kenny Brown of Pratt, Kansas, and Stanley "Shorty" Brown of Hutchinson, Kansas, three sisters, Donna Nattier of Newon, Kansas , Valda Nickel of Wichita, Kansas , and Wilma Schwemmer of Newton, Kansas , and four grandchildren, Matthew Brown, Chris Brown, Jeremy Brown and Jessica Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Virginia.
