Minnie M. (Meyer) Brown

Oklahoma City – Memorial services for Minnie M. Meyer Brown, 87, who died Thursday in an Oklahoma City hospital, will be at 10 AM Monday in the Guardian West Chapel at Oklahoma City.

Mrs. Brown was born September 22, 1896, in Freemont County, Minnesota, to Mr. and Mrs. George M. Meyer. In 1901, she moved to a farm near Hillsdale. She attended schools in that area until 1915 when she moved to Oklahoma City to live with an older sister, Anna. In 1917, she and Thomas Brown were married.

Mrs. Brown was employed by a local federal savings and loan company, retiring in 1967.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, her parents, one brother and two sisters.

Survivors include one niece, Norma Koop; one nephew, Curtis Meyer; seven great – nieces and nephews; and 11 great – great – nieces and nephews.

Memorials in her name may be made to the I Am Activity with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
