Louella (Pritchett) Brown

Louella (Pritchett) Brown
July 19, 1940 ~ November 12, 2021

Louella was born on July 19, 1940, to the union of Columbus Pritchett and Nancy (Daugherty) Pritchett in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She entered the Kingdom of God on November 12, 2021, surrounded by her family at the golden age of 81 years. Louella married the love of her life Elwood Brown on July 16, 2001, in Bell, Oklahoma.

Mom and Elwood enjoyed going on long drives throughout the countryside or going to the cabin for the night during hunting season. Mom and Elwood also made the perfect pair for growing and canning delicious foods, that were enjoyed by many. Most of all they enjoyed worshiping the Lord together and singing praises unto Him. Louella loved and praised the Lord until her final breath; she had a heart after Jesus that was felt by many. Louella was a member of Piney Creek Baptist Church where she enjoyed attending while her health permitted. She was a wonderful mother to her children and grandchildren whom she loved and prayed for without ceasing. Mom was a Godly woman who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She raised her children and grandchildren to love God and respect other people, her prayers, love, and support covered her family on a daily basis and never wavered.

Louella was a homemaker, where she enjoyed cooking many different foods and teaching her grandchildren how to cook, tending to her garden that was full of many fruits and vegetables, just as in her Christian life, she bore much fruit for the Lord. Mom had many different animals that she loved and brought her much joy. She also had many flowerbeds around the yard, full of beautiful flowers and decorations. She was a lover of nature and was often out on walks in the woods or out looking for traditional foods, which she loved to eat. Music was a big part of mom's life for it brought her much joy and even more joy when singing praises unto God. Mom was first and foremost a Child of the living God but also an amazing mother, grandmother, and wife. We are forever eternally grateful for such a blessing. Her adventurous attitude, broad range of interests, and her happy demeanor made her a wonderful person to know. She was patient and generous with her time and affection. Mom pursued her many endeavors diligently, and always arose to meet a challenge for she knew God was on her side.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband; grandchildren: Melanie Pritchett, Desirae Swake, and Lawyer Swake; siblings: Willard Kirk, Ruby Sawney, Louise Nofire, Juanita Sevenstar, Willie Pritchett, Jimmy Pritchett, and Sally Pritchett.

Louella leaves to cherish her memory seven children: Linda Swake and husband John T. of Westville, Oklahoma, Michael Pritchett, Patricia Pritchett, Thomas Pritchett and wife Cholon all of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Rachel Soap of Westville, Oklahoma, Jimmy Dale Soap and wife Sandra of Belfonte, Oklahoma, and Christopher Soap and wife Terri Dawn of Stilwell, Oklahoma; stepchildren: George and Dodie Brown, Artie and Christina Brown, Laura, and James Brown; 21 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 5 siblings: Rufus Pritchett of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Callie Taylor and husband Virgil of Greenwood, Arkansas, Nellie Green of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Harry Daugherty of Stilwell, Oklahoma and Sam Daugherty of Long, Oklahoma; along with a host of many family members, nieces, nephews, and friends who also survive her.

Funeral Service for Louella was held 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the New Life Church under the direction of the Roberts-Reed-Culver Funeral Home in Stilwell, OK.
