Judy Mae (Dukes) Brown
September 2, 1953 ~ January 17, 2024

Judy Mae Brown (Dukes) was born Wednesday, September 2nd , 1953, to Vernon Dukes and Mary Beshirs (Carter) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024, in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 70. Judy moved from Oklahoma City to Bryan County in October of 1977. She attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Judy worked as a healthcare provider until her retirement. Judy loved to read books, spend time with her family, and watch her grandkids play sports. She loved taking care of everyone that came into her life.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Lawrence Dukes and Mary Beshirs. Brothers; Jimmy Dukes, Donnie Dukes, and David Dukes. Son; Jerry Folvarcik.

She is survived by her children; Gary Crouch and spouse Cynthia Crouch of Denison, TX, Christy Payne and spouse David Payne of Durant, OK, Davey Brown and spouse Tiffany Brown of Durant, OK, Athenia Heflin and spouse Duston Heflin of Durant, OK, Siblings; Sammie Dukes of Durant, OK, Pamela Welborn and spouse Albert Welborn of Magee, Mississippi, Ricky Dukes of Oklahoma City, OK, Larry Dukes and spouse Bobbie Dukes of Oklahoma City, OK, and Vernon Dukes of Duncan, OK. Fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Brown’s Funeral Home Chapel in Durant with Anthony Hoffman officiating. Grandsons and great-grandsons Damien Almos, Tylor Brown, Landon Brown, Jarron Brown, Ethon Heflin, Breydon Heflin, Matthew Heflin, Brodi Payne, Gabriel Almos, Charles Almos II, Thomas Gathings, Haskell Higa, Kyzler Almos, and Hazyn Almos, granddaughters and great-granddaughters Taylor Deaton, Nikkita Crouch, Sarin Almos, Aci Payne, Mia Pelkey, Raley Brown, and Josie Heflin will be serving as honorary pallbearers.
