Jackie Joe Brown

Jackie Joe Brown
September 16, 1941 ~ August 8, 2023

Our beloved husband, father and brother, Jackie Joe Brown, entered into Heaven on August 8, 2023, shortly before his 82nd birthday. Jack was born to Dorothy (Cox) and Frank Brown on September 16, 1941, in Alva, Oklahoma.

He was very close to both sets of grandparents spending many hours at the home of maternal grandparents, Bessie and Ben Cox, playing with his many cousins, and with his sister, Carolyn, and cousin, Jim Pittman, and roaming the fields and pastures at the farm of his paternal grandparents, Edna and Al Brown.

As a teenager Jack learned to play the guitar and played in a small '50s band. Jack's love of music continued throughout his life and as an adult he often played and sang at the Alva VFW Lodge.

Jack loved to fish and spent many days fishing on the family farm northwest of Alva with his cousin, Jim Pittman.

On April 20, 1976, Jack married Linda Kay (Dickson) Cooper. To this union Kayla was born and Jack gained two children, Kimmy and Larry.

Jack drove a semi truck for many years before he retired. Jack was also an Army veteran.

Jack's parents; son, Kevin; and his loving sisters, Imogene Evans and Patricia Collins, preceded him in death.

He leaves his loving wife Linda Kay; daughters, Kayla, and Kimmy, son, Larry, grandchildren, Yardana, Kaylee, Shayna, James, Chrissy, Kris, and Brookie, eight great grandchildren, sisters, Jerri Goehler and Carolyn Rogers, of Oklahoma City, Terri Collins of Denver, Colorado, niece, Debbie Doran and husband John Caldwell of Oklahoma City, sister in-law, Denise (Dickson) and husband Fred Vosacek, brother in-law, Dale Dickson and wife Nancy and many loving nieces and nephews along with all of his Ampride buddies.

Jack was a member of the Grace and Faith Fellowship Church and with God's help we feel that Jack and Jim are fishing at a Heavenly fishing hole catching the "Big One" they always dreamed of catching.
