Irene F. (Clayton) Brown

Dec. 25, 1920 ~ Nov. 3, 2005

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2005, 11:00 a.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery. Pastor Dan Hellyer and Pastor Gary Nichols will be the officiates.

Irene was born in Beggs, Oklahoma to Jesse and Anna Mae Clayton.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, L.B. Brown; brothers, David, Leonard and Buster Clayton; sister, Mary Ella Alspaw.

She is survived by sisters, Bertie Sturman, Daisy Robertson, Ruby McWhirter; brother, Dutchie Clayton; daughter, Patsy A. Kirkpatrick and husband, Ken Kirkpatrick; son, Howard Brown and wife, Karen; grandchildren, Karen Elliott, Susan Jennings, Kelley Brown, Brian Brown, Howard Brown Jr.; five great-grandchildren who all were her pride and joy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She worked for Rio Bravo Schools for 20 years. Retired and moved to Mt. Mesa, Lake Isabella where she was active in her church, loved canning, making pies and jellies especially carrot cake.

She will be greatly missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Building Fund of the Christian Assembly, 12424 Mtn. Mesa Rd., Lake Isabella, CA 93240.
