Thank You For Your Service!

Bobby Joe Brown, Jr.

Bobby Joe Brown, Jr.
Jul 10, 1964 ~ Mar 14, 2013

Bobby Joe Brown, Jr., 48, of Perry, passed on March 6, 2013. Services will be held at the Apostolic Church of Stillwater (410 S. Berry) on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Jonathan Horner presiding.

Bobby was born in Nashville, Tennessee on July 10, 1964 to Bobby Brown, Sr. and Patsy Ann (Whittington) Bell and grew up in Mississippi. After high school, he joined the National Guard, and while serving earned two degrees in engineering.

Following his service, he moved to Oklahoma and lived in several places in Perry and surrounding areas, where he worked in construction and later as a mechanic. In his spare time he enjoyed motorcycles and singing karaoke, but the greatest joy of his life were his children. Bobby managed to make each child feel like his “favorite” and bragged about them constantly. He will be remembered by his family as a man who was always trying to make others smile, and could usually be found in telling a joke or story. His laughter will be missed by all who knew him.

Bobby is survived by his father, Bobby Brown, Sr.; wife, Rhonda Brown; longtime companion Ami Alley; 16 children, Kelsci Menefee, Kayla Menefee, Brittany Jo Wile, Austin Wile, Kandyce Brown, Alicia Brown, Corby Alley, Tyler Alley, Colton Anson, Cory Cox, Kaiden Anson, Kyle Anson, Kodi Anson, Misty Gee, and Amanda Ensminger; five grandchildren, Jada Gee, Talyn Gee, Bohdi Gee, Michael Hayes, and Trinity Ensminger; three siblings, James “David” Brown, Vanessa Ganaway, and Gail Cockrell; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends including his lifelong friends Pat Harris and Kenny Weber.

In addition to his mother Patsy Ann Bell, Bobby was preceded in death by sisters Sarah “Kathy” Arceneaux and Sandy Renee Brown, and a daughter Tiaunna Linea Brown.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made at Exchange Bank in Ami Alley’s name or M. Gail Cockrell

Friends may leave condolences for the family via an online guestbook available at www.perrycares.com
