Alice (Terrell) Brown

September 5, 1927 ~ March 30, 2007

Alice Terrell Brown was born on September 5, 1927 in Shawnee to Dr. Ernest Pierce Terrell and Lucile Holland Terrell, RN. She was resurrected on March 30, 2007.

Alice and her brother, Col. Ernest P. Terrell, Jr. (ret) were raised by their mother, with the family of three moving to Chickasha in Alice's early teens. Here she met the " love of her life " Jack Brown. After a storybook high school romance, Alice attended O.C.W. and then transferred to O.U. where the cheerleader married her football star on August 1, 1947. This union brought three children-Sally, Susie and John who cherish their mother's memory and who will comfort their father in his loss.

It is said that a life is measured by the friends one keeps and Alice's life was full of those friendships. She and Jack lived many places in their life together and met and cultivated lifelong friends. It was truly amazing to see so many of these friends travel hundreds of miles to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary 10 years ago!

Alice, a loving, beautiful, stay at home mom with the singing voice of an angel, enjoyed her time as Homeroom Mom, Scout leader and Den Mom and was known for the best birthday parties ever. Like a great cinema classic or a Frank Sinatra tune, Alice's memory will live on for generations to come.

Terrell, Jr. & wife Allene of Norman; Daughters, Sally Brown Gilbert and husband Ray of Aledo, TX; Susan Brown DeWitt & husband, David, of Ft Worth; Son, John M.
