Merrill Wayne Bross
August 13, 1949 ~ June 30, 2018

Merrill Wayne Bross was born August 13, 1949, to Frank (Bud) and Cora Bell (Dreessen) Bross in Guthrie. He passed away June 30, 2018, at the age of 68.

He attended Guthrie schools and graduated in 1967. He attended Oklahoma State University for one year and then entered the air force in 1968. He was stationed in Okinawa.

After his enlistment ended, he returned home and farmed with his father for several years. 

In 1977, he started work at the Oklahoma National Stockyards Company in Oklahoma City. He retired in 2015 after 38 years.

He married his wife Betty on July 15, 1978. The couple had two children, Amanda and Adam.

Merrill was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and Johnny Shults.

He is survived by his wife Betty, daughter Amanda, son Adam, sister and husband Anna May and Charles Callahan, nephews Johnny Len and Jessica Shults and Kendall Shults, along with several aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.

He is also survived by his mother-in-law Phyllis Schultz, brother-in-law Richard Schultz, and sister-in-law Jane Schultz. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.

A visitation is 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Vondel L. Smith and Son Mortuary North, 13125 North Macarthur Boulevard, Oklahoma City, OK, USA.

A funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2018, at Vondel L. Smith and Son Mortuary North Chapel, 13125 North Macarthur Boulevard, Oklahoma City, OK, USA.
