Rod Brooks

Rod Brooks
May 25, 1949 ~ December 11, 2020

Rod was born in Gracemont Ok to Roy and Almeda ( Brownen) Brooks, he was preceded in death by his parents, grand parents Calvin and Cleo Brownen, his daughter Amy Brooks Watkins and his favorite buddy Slik the Shih Tzu

He was a 1967 Graduate of Gracemont HS and Columbia Broadcasting school.

Rod is survived by his wife of 53 years Fran Brooks, son and daughter in law Paul and Angie Brooks, granddaughter Ashlee Griffin-Moore, husband JC and 2 great grandchildren JJ and Jameson , son in law Taurrie Watkins and countless friends and extended family.

Rod was a longtime Dj with stints at WKY, KOMA, and KSWO known as Hot Rod Henry. He was an avid golfer, singer, lover of travel, great real estate broker since 1980, wonderful dad, grandfather, spouse and friend.

Rod had a life saving kidney transplant in 1993 and was an active member of Life Share.

Celebration of life will be at 11:00 am December 15th at The Gate Church located at 7700 N Council Rd. Oklahoma City.
