Evelyn attended schools throughout the United States, graduating in 1987 from Carl Albert High School in Oklahoma City, OK.

Shortly after graduation, Evelyn joined the US Air Force. She spent 18 years in service to her country, stationed in various locations, such as Myrtle Beach, Tinker, Egypt, Korea, and Minot among others. During her active years, she achieved numerous rankings and awards, retiring in 2007 with the rank of Tech Sergeant.

In 1999, Evelyn met Kevin Brooks, the true love of her life. They married in 2004 and resided in Muskogee, OK. Over the years, the couple enjoyed many adventures and excursions, especially attending and participating in the Renaissance Fair at the Castle in Muskogee.

Evelyn was a strong and ardent fighter, surviving cancer and defeating Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2007.

Evelyn was a proud Veteran, who frequently attended Veteran events and parades.

In more recent years, Evelyn began attending Brick Church and was baptized on August 17, 2025 and dedicated her life to Christ. She enjoyed attending Bible studies, craft groups and volunteering with her Ladies Fellowship.
