Fern Brockway

???? ~ November 7, 1981 |Age 86

Word was received of the death of Fern Brockway, 86, a former resident of the Aline - Cleo Springs area. She died November 7, 1981 at her home in Hermosa Beach, California, where she had lived for more than 40 years.

She and her husband, Murl, began their married life in Missouri, where he worked as a telegraph lineman for several years. They later moved to Aline and owned and operated the telephone exchange there.

The couple also lived a short while in Cleo Springs, during which time she became a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 303, a membership she maintained until her death, more than 50 years.

Survivors include a granddaughter, Mona Clark, who was living with her at the time of her death. She was a sister - in - law of Emma Brockway, Muskogee, and Joe Brockway, Cleo Springs.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter.
