Lucinda Anne (Ayres) Brockett
October 17, 1939 ~ January 27, 2018

Lucinda Anne Brockett (Louanne) passed on to meet Jesus on January 26, 2018 in Calera, Oklahoma due to complications from Alzheimer's. She was 78 years old.

Louanne was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on October 17, 1939 to her parents Carl and Francine Ayres. She grew up in Houston, Texas and attended Houston schools. She married the love of her life Dan Brockett in 1968. They were longtime residents of Taft until Danny passed in 2009.

Mrs. Brockett's biggest goal in life was spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. She attended Valley Baptist Church until her illness. She loved the Lord with all of her heart. Her free time was spent taking care of Danny, studying Gods word, taking long walks, cooking great meals and hugging on her grandkids and cats. She was a full time house wife, mom, grandma and great grandma. She loved her family with all her heart. She enjoyed going to Pismo Beach and Bass Lake. She was an avid Oakland Raider and Houston Astro fan.

Louanne is survived by her son Gerald Hart and his wife Glenda of Westcliffe, Colorado, daughter Kris Funk of Watertown, New York; son Ron Hart of Bakersfield; Sherri Dykes and her husband Lance of Taft; seven grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also her best friend Betty Jo Bozarth of Bakersfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband Danny.

Mrs. Brockett will be buried at Westside Cemetery in Taft, California on Saturday February 3, 2018. Viewing is at Erickson and Brown Funeral Home in Taft, California on Friday February 2 from 4pm until 8pm.
