Daniel William "Sonny" Brock
June 24, 1948 ~ August 30, 2023

Memorial services for Daniel "Sonny" Brock will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2023, at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel, with Taylor Anderson officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva. There will be a reception following the service at the Runnymede in Alva.

Daniel "Sonny" Brock, son of the late Daniel Edward and Clara Belle (Simmons) Brock, was born June 24, 1948, at Alva, and passed away August 30, 2023, at Oklahoma City, at the age of 75 years, 2 months, and 6 days.

Sonny grew up in Alva, graduating from Alva High School in 1967. After high school he worked with sheet metal for Chromalloy. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, music, and painting. He especially loved his dogs. He lived in Alva before moving to Oklahoma City in 1974.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Christine (Brock) Sontany, and two nieces, Terri Brock and Danna Dow.

Sonny is survived by his daughter, Lindsay Brock and Grae Roberts of Oklahoma City, and Erin Brock of Moore; one brother, Vernon Brock of Avard; a grandchild, Emma Elizabeth Haynes, and a grandchild on the way, Kennedy Grae Roberts; other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter.
