Robert Rollin Bridges
June 24, 1949 ~ March 31, 2015

Robert Rollin Bridges, age 65, of Blanchard, Oklahoma passed away March 31, 2015 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. He was born June 24, 1949 to Doyle and Wanda (Hareors) Bridges.

Robert played football for Oklahoma State University where he received his Bachelor of Science and was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys. He attended Seminary at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee and was a Minister of Music and Youth in Quanah, Texas. He had lived in Blanchard for more than 10 years where he was a member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church. Robert married his wife Shirley on August 29, 1997 in Moore, Oklahoma. He loved church and fishing.

At the time of his death he was survived by his wife Shirley Bridges, she passed away just a few hours later. Survivors include his 2 children, Marsha Lokken and husband Philip of Guthrie and Mark Bridges and wife Kristie of Sherwood, AR; 3 step-children, Sonya, Cheryl and Ronnie; his sister Linda Gregory and brother Kenneth Bridges and wife Linda. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, April 3, 2015 at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel in Guthrie with his longtime friend Ken Mendenhall officiating. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
