David Brents, age 57 of Lexington, passed away Monday, December 09, 2013.

Gary David Brents was born May 28, 1956 in San Diego, CA, 1 of 2 sons born to Robert Eugene Brents and Ruby Lee (Smith) Brents. He spent his early childhood in California and later in Guam as a child of a Navy Seaman, before the family settled east of Lexington where he was schooled. David graduated from Lexington High School in 1974.

He worked hard installing and cleaning carpet and tile flooring. He owned and operated ACC Portable Carpet Cleaning for many years.

David was the proud father of two children, son, Bobby and daughter, Chelsey.

He enjoyed his motorcycle and never missed an opportunity to ride. David was a gifted musician. He liked playing the drums and the piano and spent the past few years playing for his church, the Corbett Baptist Church. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by: His father, Robert Eugene ‘Bob’ Brents.

David leaves behind: His mother, Ruby of the home;

His son, Bobby Brents, of the home;

His daughter, Chelsey Brents of Altus, OK;

Brother, Johnny Brents of Burns Flat, OK;

Niece, Raven Williams and husband Raymond and their kids,

MaKayla and Austin, all of Lexington and

A host of other family and friends.p

A Memorial Service has been scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 12, 2013, at the Corbett Baptist Church.
