Jerry L. Branch
January 24, 1934 ~ June 19, 2023

Jerry L. Branch of Durant passed peacefully from this life on Monday, June 19, 2023 at the age of 89. He was born in Wade, Oklahoma on January 24, 1934 to George Monroe and Laura Beatrice (Allen) Branch.

Jerry honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy. He later became a roughneck oilfield worker. He also worked in the potash mines in New Mexico. After retirement Jerry enjoyed outdoor activities, such as fishing and gardening.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters Terri Brewer, Nikki McIntire, and Pamela Gilbert, all of Durant, Oklahoma, his son Terry Lynn Stroud of Dallas, Texas, his sister Gaylene Wells of Bennington, Oklahoma, as well as his special friend Betty Wingfield of Durant, Oklahoma. Jerry is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. His legacy will live on with his seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents George and Laura Branch, his two brothers J.T. Davidson and Vandene Branch, the mother of his children Patsy Branch, and granddaughter Patricia Caldwell.

Special thank you to Four Seasons Staff and Centric Hospice for their loving care of Jerry during his last days.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel.
