Phyllis Ann Braden

On the evening of April 8, Phyllis Braden passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Phyllis was born in El Reno, Oklahoma where she attended high school. After high school she attended nursing school at Mercy hospital in Oklahoma City and received her BSN. She spent the better part of her life caring for others at doctor's offices in Iowa and Nebraska before moving back to Oklahoma and settling in Bartlesville where she worked for many years at Jane Phillips Hospital as a nurse. After she retired she continued her work as a volunteer nurse at Green Country Fee Clinic.

Mrs. Braden is survived by one daughter, Kara Mears and husband James of Tulsa, one son, Michael Braden and wife Julie of Chaska, Minnesota, one brother, Richard Preno of El Reno, five grandchildren, Adam Braden, Mackenzie Braden, Shea Braden, Cody Mears and Jessica Mears and two great grandchildren, Ethan Braden and Alexandria Braden. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Susan Braden in 1978.

A memorial service will be held at Collide Church (200 S. Dewey in Bartlesville) on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 10:00 A.M.

Memorials or donations are preferred to the Journey Home of Bartlesville, 3406 S.E. Kentucky, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74006.
