Robert Travis Bradbury, Jr.

Robert Travis Bradbury, Jr.
January 25, 1929 ~ October 15, 2023

Robert (Bob) Travis Bradbury, Jr. of Bethany, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on October 15, 2023 at the age of 94. He was born on January 25, 1929 in Cleburne, Texas to Robert and Bertie Mae Bradbury.

Bob, or Papa Tico as many of us called him, was the most loving, generous, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Alicia; son, Kevin; daughters, Christina Woodson with husband Gary and Patricia Brown with husband Greg. Papa Tico was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather to grandson, Dr. Jeremy Woodson with his wife Dr. Elena Woodson and their children, Thatcher and Evie; and granddaughter, Tiffany Fite with her husband Weston Fite and their children Avi and Sully. Last, but most certainly not least, Papa Tico is survived by his beloved kitty, Bella.

Upon graduation from Cleburne High School in 1947, Bob attended Texas Christian University and then transferred to Texas A&M where he was in ROTC during his time there. Bob was extremely intelligent and was always creating, inventing and problem-solving, which made him highly sought after in his field. His career opened doors for him to travel to many locations in North America and parts of Europe.

After retirement, Bob still enjoyed traveling. He and Alicia loved to take road trips together all over the country.

Bob was a kind, loving man of faith and integrity whose passing has left a gap that cannot be filled. The greatest gift he has given his family is the knowledge that he is rejoicing in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and we WILL see him again.

A memorial service will take place at 10:00am on October 24 at the chapel/event center located in the Southern Plaza Retirement Community (Assisted Living side), 3704 Asbury Avenue, Bethany, OK. Parking is available on the west side of Asbury in the church parking lot. Once inside, signs will direct the way to the chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ministry or charity of your choice.
