David Lee Bowling

Aug. 24, 1953 ~ July 7, 2013

ENID, Okla. - David Lee Bowling was born Aug. 24, 1953, in Enid to David Lewis Bowling and Gladys Julia Ciscowski Bowling. David left our world while playing golf with friends on Sunday, July 7, 2013.

David attended school at Jefferson and graduated from Medford in 1970. He then attended college at OSU, OCU and NWOSU, earning his bachelor's degree in liberal arts.

David loved to travel and experience all that life could offer. He traveled to New Zealand twice and planned on returning in the next couple of years. David loved growing a garden. He especially loved his tomato and hot pepper plants.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Julia Ciscowski Bowling; his father, David Lewis Bowling; and his sister, Betty Bowling.

David lived in Jefferson, Okla., most of his life, and will be missed by everyone who was lucky to call him friend, his two loving grandchildren, Preston Janes and Izabella Janes; his stepdaughter, Cody Janes; and his life companion, Carol Haws. Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday July 13, 2013, at the Medford Civic Center. Memorials may be made to Pond Creek Fire Department in care of Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek, Okla.
