Catherine Emilia "Millie" (Wohl) Bowerman-Torres
March 11, 1934 ~ August 22, 2019

Memorial services for Catherine Emilia “Millie” Bowerman-Torres, 85, of Fairview, will be 1:00 PM, Monday, August 26, 2019 at the Fairview Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Ricky Chance will officiate. Cremation arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.

Catherine Emilia “Millie” Torres was born to Henri and Anna (Maes) Wohl on March 11, 1934 in Echternach, Luxembourg. Millie went to be with our heavenly father, Thursday, August 22, 2019.

Millie lived and grew up in Luxembourg with her parents as well as her four sisters and three brothers. They lived through and survived the horrors of World War II.

Millie met her husband Leonard Bowerman, in 1956 in Luxembourg where he was stationed. They were married there before returning to the United States. She raised six children. In 1962, she received her citizenship which she was very proud of. Millie was fluent in five languages and was very passionate about animals.

Millie’s fondest memories were in Arizona where she had become a horse ranch manager and was an active member of the community. She was an active member of the Fairview Nazarene Church as well as a volunteer at the Serving Christ Outreach.

Miss Millie never met a stranger! She has several friends and many family members who will miss her tremendously! She touched many hearts in Fairview. She may be gone but never forgotten.

Millie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister, three brothers, and one grandchild.

Millie is survived by her six children, Harry James Bowerman, Frances Edna Knight, Emily Ann Jones, Martha Louise Robison and husband Ronnie, Bobbie Joanne Kerkow, and David Lee Bowerman and wife Melisa; three sisters, Marie Ernzer, Yvonne Reavis, and Marguerite McCole; 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Millie Memorial Fund with the funeral home acting as custodians of the funds.
