Rhonda was born in Claremore, OK on February 9, 1985, to Ronald Jr. and Betty (Lowther) Mace. She was raised and educated in Chelsea and graduated from Chelsea High School with the class of 2004. On July 30, 2004, in Miami, OK, Rhonda married the love of her life, Michael Boston. Their marriage was gifted with one son, Junior Boston.
Rhonda was a member of the Cherokee Nation and was immensely proud of her heritage. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chelsea. Those who really knew Rhonda, referred to her as “Dynamite in a small package!” She always had an opinion and had no issue in expressing it to you. Rhonda was actively involved in the Chelsea community. She attended most city council meetings, posted often on the Chelsea Complaints and Compliments Facebook page, and was always willing to “pitch in” wherever and whenever she saw the opportunity.
Rhonda enjoyed travelling. She especially loved to visit Branson, Missouri, and Silver Dollar City. In fact, she memorized the lines of the actors from the train robbing skit on the SDC train better than they did. Texas, Tennessee, and Louisiana were just a few of the destinations she visited, along with North Carolina to see the ocean. Rhonda enjoyed music; vintage Country along with Gospel were her favorites. Some of her favorite artists included Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood and the Gatlin Brothers, just to name a few.
Last, but certainly not least, Rhonda absolutely loved her family with all her heart. She made it a point to make certain each day that her family felt the huge amount of love she had for each of them. Rhonda never met a stranger. She enjoyed visiting with everyone and letting you know that you mattered to her.
Rhonda leaves behind the legacy of family and friends that will miss her tremendously. She is survived by her husband, Michael Boston, her son Junior Boston, brothers Ronald “Eddie” Mace, Jackie Lowther, Billy Lowther and Carey Lowther along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Rhonda is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents Ronnie Mace Sr. and Mary DeLozier, Jack and Geneva Lowther, and nephew Justin Lowther.
