Benny Franklin Boren

Benny Franklin Boren
October 17, 1960 ~ April 8, 2026

Benny Boren, age 65, of Wanette passed away unexpectedly on April 8, 2026. Benny Franklin Boren was born on October 17, 1960 in Lewisville, Texas, the middle of three children born to Jake Franklin Boren and Mary Lou (Walker) Boren. When Benny was about 7 years old, the Boren family moved to Oklahoma. They first moved to Oklahoma City, and eventually settled in Wanette, which is where they made their home and have resided ever since. Benny attended Wanette Public Schools up until the 10th grade, before joining the workforce.

Benny worked numerous odd jobs throughout the years where he worked for places such as, Sweeny’s Water Well Company, Kirkendall Wrecking Yard, and Austin Asphalt Company. He was extremely driven and dedicated to working hard every single day, no matter where he was working or what he was doing! However, he later found his true passion in working as a CNA at Sunset Estates Nursing Home. Benny truly loved helping others and interacting with all the patients. He had the joy of working there for nearly 15 years, before he eventually retired. In his free time, he enjoyed working outside in the barn, caring for animals, and just spending time with his family. He truly cherished every moment they spent together, and every memory they made. Benny was a very kind, helpful, loving, and gentle man in nature. His joyful spirit and kind heart impacted so many people. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by: his father, Jake Franklin Boren, and his older brother, Jake Michael Boren.

Benny is survived by: his mother, Mary Lou Boren of Wanette; sister, Shirley Dodd of Lexington; 2 nephews, Jason Beene of Purcell and Justin Beene of Lexington; 1 great niece, Haley Beene of Lexington; his girlfriend, Tammy Divelbiss of Wanette, and her children- Mara Cooper of Purcell, Dillian Cooper of Norman, and Austin Cooper of Wanette.
