Thank You For Your Service!

Jeffrey Allen Borbely

Jeffrey Allen Borbely
October 17, 1938 ~ March 26, 2020

On March 26, 2020, Jeffrey's spirit soared to heaven to continue his service to the Lord Jesus Christ, after a brief battle with cancer.

Jeffrey was born on October 17, 1938, in Cleveland Heights, OH, to Eugene Louis and Geraldine Pyle Borbely.

Jeffrey joined the USAF in 1961 and became a navigator on a KC-97 Stratotanker for the Strategic Air Command. On July 2, 1962, he married Sandra Chambers who survives at home. Jeffrey graduated from Ohio State University in 1966 and proceeded to work as a computer analyst for Martin-Marietta Corp. and then BDM Int'l until 1977. He achieved his Masters and Doctor of Philosophy degrees at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS. He was Director of Research and Development for USD 453 Leavenworth Public Schools., Leavenworth, KS, until his retirement in 2002.

Jeffrey was an accomplished musician, vocally and instrumentally, and enjoyed serving his Lord in the choir of every church he attended. In 2005, after retiring and moving to Stillwater, OK, to be near his daughter and son-in-law, he was blessed with fellowship at several local senior centers where he sang and played his guitar.

Jeffrey is preceded in death by his parents. His survivors are Sandra Chambers Borbely of the home, sons Michael Allan Borbely of San Jose, CA, Benjamin Louis Borbely of Stillwater, OK, and daughter Jennifer Borbely White and husband Michael White, both of Stillwater, OK.

There will be no memorial service. Dighton-Marler Funeral Home will oversee the cremation and placement in the columbarium at First United Methodist Church, Stillwater, OK.

The family wishes to express appreciation to all the servants at Karman Legacy Hospice who have graciously assisted us for the past few months. In lieu of gifts, the family encourages donations to Karman Legacy Hospice.

Condolences may be sent to the family via an online guestbook at www.dightonmarler.com.
