Seminole resident, Karen Kawailani Ah Soong Bolin-Caudle, 69, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025, at her home. Karen, the daughter of Ernest Kaiminaauao Kam and Gertrude (Cobb-Adams) Kihapilani, was born Halloween Day, October 31, 1955, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She graduated from James B Castle High School in Kanehoe, Hawaii, with the class of 1973.
On June 8, 2001, Karen married Tony Caudle in Arkansas. She enjoyed cooking, puzzles, watching football with Papa, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. Karen was affectionately known by her family as Nana. She loved children and put this into practice at her child care center, Keiki-Lani Daycare in Wewoka. Nana built Keiki-Lani Daycare from the ground up one child at a time.
She loved her family, visiting family in Hawaii, going to Niagara Falls, and Clydesdale Horses. And Nana loved her Tony.
She was preceded in death by Ernest and Gertrude Kam, Ernest Jr., Mark Kam, Sherry and John Evans, Debbie Baptiste, Elijah Evans, Erica Woods, Mary and Frank Caudle, Kellie Kam, Brandon Benton, and Coy and Inga.
Karen is survived by her husband Tony Caudle of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, David Graham, of Georgia, and Eric and Erin Bolin of Wynnewood, Okla.; daughters, April Bolin-Deere of Tecumseh, and Geneva Tate of Holdenville; grandchildren, Mikiah, Bryn, Rhyella, Cashe-Kawika, Casey, Hayden, Reid, Makenna, Brya, Ashleigh, Abby, Gracie, Shawna, and Perry; great-grandchildren, KaMiah, Stephon, Brynlyn, and Jace; sister and brother-in-law, Lonna and Rod Maile of Hawaii; along with many other family members, friends, and "children" she has taken care of over the years at the daycare.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Karen and Tony's home with Michael Brown and Geneva Tate officiating.
Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
