Services for Nora Catherine Garver Bocox, 86 of Dallas, Texas were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 1992 at Steed-Todd Chapel. The Rev. David Wilkins officiated.
Burial was at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Steed-Todd Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Nora was born October 12, 1905 in Oklahoma to Thomas H. and Mattie Garver. She died Monday, February 17, 1992 in Dallas, Texas.
She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Pleasant Hill Auxiliary and Ladies Church Group.
She is survived by one son, Glenn Bocox of Clovis; one daughter, Norma McAlavy of Lake Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren, Kaye Shoemaker and Ken Bocox of Clovis; Karen Patterson of Houston, Texas; Debbie Smith of Amarillo, Texas; Jan McAlavy of California; and Tim McAlavy of Kansas; sisters-in-law, Minnie Franks and Lucy Sanders of Clovis; Grace Lee of Tucumcari; Margie Tucker of California; Lelia Garver of Reydon, Oklahoma; and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Bocox in 1979; and one son, Floyd Bocox, Jr. in 1966; two sisters, Lora Parks and Elma Spencer; and one brother Andrew Garver.
