Rev. Troy Eugene Boatman

March 11, 1922 ~ March 18, 2003

Rev. Troy Eugene Boatman died at Courtyard Healthcare in Davis on Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at age 81.

Born March 11, 1922, in Mountain Park, Okla., Rev. Boatman had been a Yolo County resident for 44 years. He was a minister in Woodland for more than 30 years.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Inez Boatman of Woodland; children, Jerry Boatman and wife Nadean of Reno, Nev., Kenneth Boatman and wife Sharon of Sacramento, Janice Boatman-Remick and husband Frank of Yerington, Nev., Michael Boatman of Woodland, Randy Boatman and wife Lisa of Sacramento; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel of Woodland.

A funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, March 24, at The Crossroads Church, Beamer Street and County Road 98. Burial will take place at Monument Hill Memorial Park immediately following the funeral.
