Cy Bloomer

Services for Cy Bloomer were Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Guardian Midtown Chapel, Oklahoma City.

Mr. Bloomer was born in Era, Cooke County, Texas, and died December 31, 1992. He was the son of Emmett and Emma Bloomer. Mr. Bloomer moved to Love County as a young child and graduated as valedictorian from Meadowbrook High School at the age of 16. He was owner and operator of Cy’s Beauty Salon, a longtime member of the American Quarter Horse Association, and a member of First Baptist Church of Oklahoma City.

Survivors include his wife of 53-1/2 years, Fern Bloomer; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and JoAnn Bloomer of Norman; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Lindy Pearson of Oklahoma City and Nancy and Mike Moore of Broken Arrow; three sisters, Faye Abernathey and Dolly Dent of Oklahoma City, and Elizabeth Hill of Marietta; three brothers, Ross Bloomer and Ralph Bloomer of Marietta and Jack Bloomer of Edmond; and seven grandchildren, Jife Pearson, Katherine Pearson, Patrick Pearson, Brian Burks, Aaron Burks, Christina Bloomer, and Mark Bloomer.

Mr. Bloomer was preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters, Mim, Bob and Pat.

Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd at the First Baptist Church, Oklahoma City.
