Lifelong Arizona resident, Linda Bland, age 83 of Purcell, entered Heaven’s Gates on Monday January 5, 2026 at Norman Regional Healthplex. Linda Gail McDaniel was born July 30, 1942 in Fort Worth, Texas, the younger of two children born to James David McDaniel and Effie Lee (Sapp) McDaniel. She was raised in Holbrook, Arizona, where she attended school.
By chance, she met the love of her life, a young man named Richard Allen Bland. They were the perfect couple and together raised three daughters, Sherrie, Ginger and Christina. Linda worked as a Teachers Aid for the Coronado Elementary School in Phoenix, and also as a hair stylist for many years. Her greatest joy was being a wife and mother, and she was never happier than the day she became Granny Linda. Linda cherished her girls, and doted over her grandchildren. She was a woman of great faith, served the Lord faithfully, and always put her family first. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Richard Allen Bland; her parents, James and Effie McDaniel and her brother, David McDaniel.
Linda is survived by: her girls, Sherrie Smith and husband Pastor Dan Smith of Purcell, Ginger Hansen of Glendale, AZ and Christina Johnson of Phoenix, AZ; her pride and joy, grandchildren, Shelton Hansen, Logan Hansen, Dustin Hansen, Taylor Johnson, Christopher Smith, Daniel Smith and David Smith; 6 great grandchildren, Angel, John Paul, Lara Lynn, Pixel, Maewyn and Kyber and a host of other family and friends.
