Randy Scott Blackwell was born on May 12, 1985, in Pryor, Oklahoma, to Frankie Blackwell Sr. and Vanessa (Howell) Hurley. Randy was raised in Pryor, where he attended local schools.

Randy was a millwright by trade. He had also worked in many other capacities during his life. He was employed by the City of Pryor, National Gypsum (now Gold Bond), Buzzi Unicem Cement Plant, and Clark’s Bodyshop. He also tinted windows, and worked on boats and race cars out of the shop at his home. Randy could fix anything.

Above all, Randy will be remembered as an amazing father. He and his son, Rowdy Scott Blackwell, enjoyed numerous activities together, such as: hunting and fishing, watching movies, shooting guns and bows, going out on their boat and attending races. Randy also coached Rowdy’s football team. Family and friends were very important to Randy, and he spent as much time as he could with everyone.

Randy Blackwell departed this life at his home in Pryor, on July 05, 2026, at the age of 41.

Randy is survived by his son, Rowdy Scott Blackwell; mother, Vanessa (Steve) Hurley; brothers: Frankie Blackwell Jr., Rusty Blackwell, Trenton Chancellor, and Tyler Chancellor; sister, Chasity (Mark) Watkins, nephews: Levi and Andrew Rogers, Marcus Blackwell, and Shia Blackwell; nieces: Zoe and Natalee Watkins, and Freya Blackwell; as well as special friend, Whitney.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Frankie Blackwell Sr.; paternal grandparents, Odell and Sandra Blackwell; maternal grandmother, Mary Howell; and sister-in-law, Chelsey Blackwell.
