Memorial services for Eula “Faye” Birdsall, 76, of Gainesville, Texas will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 4 in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta with her nephew, Mark Caldwell officiating. Born December 15, 1936 at Wilson, the daughter of Calvin and Lillie Mae Harris Caldwell, she died Monday, April 29, 2013 in the Red River Health & Rehab Center, Gainesville.
Mrs. Birdsall had been employed as a legal secretary. She loved reading Danielle Steele novels, listening to gospel music and collecting owls. Mrs. Birdsall also enjoyed planting flowers in the spring, especially moss rose and playing the SkipBo card game. Her favorite pastimes were going out to eat, shopping and spoiling her grandsons. Mrs. Birdsall was a member of Ardmore’s Maxwell Avenue Church of Christ.
Preceding her in death were her parents and three brothers, C.L. Caldwell, Darrell Caldwell and Utah Caldwell.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia Kaye and William Floyd of Gordon, Texas and Carolyn Sue and Danny Stewart of Burneyville; a sister and brother-in-law, LaJoy and Carl Ford of Goodman, Missouri; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Sue Birdsall of Ardmore; a sister-in-law, Jawana Caldwell, also of Ardmore; and four grandsons, Emery Floyd, Payten Stewart, Jacob Stewart and Caleb Floyd.
